Ready for Dry Warm Days
The farm stand was open today, and we would like to thank everyone who stopped by to support your local organic farmers. Besides the farm stand being open, we also filled orders for Know Your Farms this morning. Unfortunately, we also cleaned the rust off our hoes which have been sitting idle all winter, but that is a good problem. That means that we have some plants growing, and also some weeds. We hoed peas today twelve row to be exact, and started to build our trellis. Driving stakes is not the most fun job to do, but we look forward to reaping to benefits in about another fifty-five days. Lots of things are on the priority list for this week if only mother nature will cooperate with us. We need a good steady breeze, and lots of sunshine. If those two simple things can happen we plan to be in the field this weekend doing more planting.
